ADCO Revamps Entire Protective
Cover Product Line
Adco Products recently reengineered its product line to incorporate
DuPont’s Tyvek®. In the past Adco utilized a polyester material
to manufacturer its wide range of protective covers for RVs,
motorcycles, ATVs and other outdoor recreation equipment, but
this new application substantially improves the usability as
well as the wearability of Adco’s covers.
Adco, the oldest cover manufacturer in the industry, has earned
a reputation as the standard setter in this product category and
Alan Ein, president of Adco, believes this latest move is a continuation
of that leadership. He told RV News, "Adco has incorporated
not one, but two layers of protection for customers. The inner
layer made out of 100-percent polypropylene protects from dirt,
dust, bird droppings and tree sap, while allowing for trapped
moisture to evaporate preventing mildew. The outer layer of DuPont
Tyvek® creates a layer of UV protection where the RV needs it
most, on the top. It’s lightweight, easy to install and remove,
stores compactly, and is durable enough to provide the customer
with years of protection at a very reasonable price."
Ken Katz, Adco vice president, pointed out that Adco is the only
cover manufacturer utilizing the two-layer technique. He said, "We
have gone this extra step because we recognize that when a dealer
puts a product on his shelf he wants something that will provide
good service to his customers. And we also recognize that when a
customer picks an Adco product, it’s not only our reputation going
out the door in that package, but the dealer’s reputation as well.
That’s why we are willing to invest more into our products in terms
of quality production and materials."
Adco makes a complete line of covers including ones large enough
for 102’ wide, 110" high and 45.5- foot-long Class A motorhomes
all the way down to tow bar and outdoor chair covers. Adco’s premium
line carries a two year manufacturer’s warranty.
